Site Engineer / Manager - Solar
Job Summary
Leading and supporting in site management (solar projects) with a key focus on coordinating with EPC partners, authorities, and teams to ensure the successful execution of solar projects across locations/sites in India.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead site execution of solar PV projects from planning to commissioning.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including design, procurement, quality, safety, and logistics.
- Review and interpret technical drawings, single line diagrams (SLDs), and site layouts.
- Supervise and guide site engineers, technicians, and contractors for timely and quality execution.
- Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and statutory compliance standards at the site.
- Prepare and monitor project execution schedules using tools like MS Project / Primavera.
- Liaise with clients, local authorities, and DISCOMs for inspections, approvals, and clearances.
- Handle vendor management, material planning, and ensure the timely availability of resources.
- Manage site documentation, daily progress reports (DPRs), and maintain project records.
- Support project billing, site audits, and handover documentation
Qualification & Skills
A B.Tech or B.E. degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) is mandatory.
5–10 years of experience in executing solar PV projects, with at least 2–3 MW executed under direct supervision.
PMP or project management certification (optional but preferred).
Knowledge of net-metering, open access, or O&M is a plus.
Experience in utility-scale solar projects.
Willingness to travel and stay at project sites, as required.
Strong understanding of solar electrical components, installation standards, and grid synchronization.
Hands-on experience in site execution, contractor handling, and team supervision.
Knowledge of relevant IS/IEC standards, safety protocols, and quality assurance procedures.
Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD (reading drawings), and project tracking tools.
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Solar PV Design Engineer
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Design Engineer – Solar to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the preparation, optimization, and review of solar plant designs, conducting engineering site audits, and supporting project execution. This role requires expertise in designing photovoltaic (PV) systems for residential, commercial, and industrial applications, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and collaborating with sales and project teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct shadow analysis, capacity estimations, system design, layout preparation, and optimization for solar PV installations.
- Perform engineering site audits to collect structural, electrical, and related data for system design.
- Design and develop photovoltaic (PV) system components for residential, commercial, and industrial projects.
- Assist the sales team by evaluating site-specific and customer-specific requirements, preparing cost estimates, and developing technical proposals.
- Support project managers and construction managers in project execution and assist in resolving field-related engineering issues.
- Conduct due diligence analysis for PV plants, ensuring adherence to technical and regulatory standards.

- Develop Bill of Materials (BoM) for solar plants, transformers, substations, and transmission lines.
- Perform electrical calculations including string sizing, cable sizing, transformer selection, HT panel selection, UPS & battery sizing, and lightning & earthing design.
- Ensure compliance with IS, IEC, and NEC codes and industry best practices in solar PV design.
- Develop technical specifications and scope of work documentation for solar projects.
- Evaluate specifications and recommend design modifications for improved efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Conduct cost-benefit analysis for proposed solar projects and perform testing on PV cells/modules.
- Establish and maintain quality and safety standards for solar PV installation and create inspection checklists.
- Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Experience:
– 3-5 years of experience in commercial/utility-scale PV system design.
– Expertise in AC LT/HT system design up to 33 KV.
– MW-scale experience is required; kW-scale experience is a plus. - Technical Proficiency:
– Strong knowledge of AutoCAD, PVsyst, and MS Office.
– Familiarity with international codes & standards related to solar PV.
– Experience in battery technologies is an advantage.

Project Manager
Job Summary
We are looking for a Solar Installation Quality Engineer / Sr. Engineer / Manager to ensure product, process, and quality compliance with industry standards. The role involves vendor assessments, inspections, documentation, and site quality assurance to facilitate smooth project execution and maintain high-quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
1. Vendor & Supplier Quality
- Support procurement/project teams in evaluating new vendors for quality, capability, and safety compliance.
- Conduct periodic assessments of existing vendors for improvements and new product/design additions.
- Develop, review, and update MQAP & FQAP to align with standard revisions and inspection findings.
- Audit vendor quality processes and ensure adherence to compliance standards.
2. Pre-Dispatch & Material Inspection
- Conduct pre-dispatch inspections for major equipment (excluding Class-C items) as per contracts and standards.
- Verify raw materials, in-process, and final equipment (e.g., modules, transformers) before dispatch.
- Issue MDCC certificates post-inspection and ensure safe packaging for transportation.
- Investigate and resolve material complaints received on-site or during execution.
3. Site Quality Assurance & Inspections
- Perform site inspections as per project team requests and check execution quality against approved designs.
- Rate vendors based on work quality, execution timeline, and adherence to safety norms.
- Identify and record non-conformities (NCs), ensuring their closure before commissioning.
- Conduct pre-commissioning checks for transformers, HT panels, and VCBs.
- Train site engineers and vendors to mitigate recurring NCs and improve execution quality.
4. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain test certificates, inspection reports, and site quality records in digital format.
- Track and document observations, deviations, and approvals in structured reports.
- Ensure 100% utilization of Drive for PDI/site inspection records and non-conformity tracking.
- Submit monthly MIS reports and adhere to IMS documentation standards.
5. Training & Continuous Improvement
- Participate in internal/external training sessions to stay updated on industry trends.
- Conduct vendor training during QA inspections and share feedback to prevent recurring quality issues.
- Identify and implement new technologies for quality assessment and improvement.
Qualification & Skills
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience: 3-5 years in solar quality assurance with expertise in MW-scale projects.
- Strong understanding of project drawings, SLDs, and installation aspects of primary equipment.

Design manager - Solar
Job Summary
We are looking for motivated individuals with senior PV design and installation experience. Technical experience with a business-oriented mindset will be the most successful candidate.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide pre-sales support to evaluate project feasibility and develop preliminary designs to support sales efforts and project bids.
- Assist the sales team in understanding the engineering impacts of site specific or customer specific requirements, preparing cost estimates and technical proposals.
- Assist with contract review and negotiation in terms of engineering, testing or monitoring requirements.
- Develop designs for solar electric systems meeting all national/state/local codes and customer defined requirements.
- Design, analyze, and develop photovoltaic projects/systems, including the selection of system components and specifications, and the generation of CAD layouts, electrical diagrams, and compelling proposal documents.
- Coordinate and validate required technical documents (electrical, structural, site plan drawings and related documents).
- Assist in developing project schedules, budgets, energy models, scopes of work, and standards.
- Refine and document processes which the company follows in the design and engineering of PV systems, including development of Best Practices.
- Complete technical evaluation of the BOS components
- Coordinate bill of materials development and supplier recommendations.
- Assist purchasing manager to understand and evaluate various products from an engineering/technical standpoint.
- Periodically meet with vendors to learn about the technical aspects of their products.
- Review customer supplied drawings for proper engineering interface and utility interconnection.
- Identify, prioritize, schedule project/design initiatives; drive execution of activities.
- Assist project managers and construction managers with the successful completion of projects and participate in the resolution of field related issues that require engineering input.
- Identify, evaluate, and direct the technical activities of project specific sub-contractors and consultants.
- Provide technical input and establish procedures in development of site permitting and interconnection requirements.
- Quality check of execution of solar power system
- Evaluate project results and performance to implement internal continuous improvement measures.
- Prepare monthly reports and timely written communication on design/project activities.
Desired Skills & Experience
- Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Minimum experience:
- 5+ years of Commercial/Utility PV system design.
- MW Scale experience is required,
- AC side design experience upto 220 KV.
- kW scale experience is a plus.
- Software Proficiency: Excellent knowledge of AutoCAD, PVSyst, MS Office
- Up to date with current technology trends in PV industry
- Should possess good knowledge of international codes & standards
- Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
